Town of Gander Welcomes New CAO

Following an extensive nationwide recruitment process led by advisory firm MC Advisory, the Town of Gander is proud to announce Brad Hefford as our new Chief Administrative Officer.

Brad has been a key member of our team for the past five years, serving as Town Clerk/Director of Governance and Legislation, where his leadership and expertise have been invaluable. As a lifelong resident of Gander, he brings extensive knowledge, a strong educational foundation, and a deep connection to the community. With a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University and extensive experience in HR, senior leadership with provincial departments, municipal governance, and a number of professional certificates, Brad is exceptionally qualified for this position.

In his new role, he will oversee municipal operations and work closely with Council and staff to advance the Town’s strategic goals.
