Discretionary Use Notice - 59 Elizabeth Drive

Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application to develop and occupy the building at 59 Elizabeth Drive for the purpose of providing safe affordable housing with client wrap around services. 

It is noted that this area is zoned Residential High Density-2.  Apartment Building and Residential Care uses are permitted in this zone as a Discretionary Use of Council.

Anyone wishing to make representation on this matter must do so in writing and the representation must be received by the Planning and Public Works Department, Town of Gander, no later than 12:00 noon, Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

2025 Tax Payments due by March 31, 2025

Property owners can expect to receive their tax bills by mail in the coming weeks, with payments due by March 31st. 
For property owners choosing to pay their property tax monthly by post-dated cheque or pre-authorized bank payment, the payment due date is the last banking day of each month.

REVISED - Variance from Regulations - 150 Penwell Avenue

Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Gander has received an application to construct
an accessory building at the above noted address which will extend to within 5.4 metres of the
side property line.

It is noted that the property is a corner lot situated in a Residential Medium Density zone and
requires a minimum corner lot sideyard of 6.0 meters. Council may vary their regulations up to
10%.

Anyone wishing to make representation on this matter must do so in writing and the
representation must be received by the Engineering Department, Town of Gander, no later
than 12:00 noon, Monday, January 13, 2025.
